VP Sales Western Europe

We are a family business that offers innovative debt collection services with corporate social responsibility, and long term partnerships with our clients. We are looking to add a VP of Sales to lead our sales efforts and win large deals in Western Europe, as well as lead our team of Sales Managers and Client Relationship Managers in DACH and the Benelux region. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growth journey and be a key contributor to the expansion of our business in Europe.

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, negotiate and close large debt collection deals with C-level buyers
  • People and team management, coaching team members to success
  • Develop the regional sales strategy and manage overall business development and account planning in order to drive and maximize sales in the region
  • Lead the identification and development of large sales opportunities, think big in identifying and evaluating opportunities. Anticipate client needs, investigate the underlying causes and identify short and long term solutions
  • Manage the complete sales cycle and drive the deal process through development of sales strategies, solution proposal and deal closing for large opportunities, resulting in meeting or exceeding individual sales targets
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to large corporate clients and be capable of providing guidance and thought leadership on current business issues facing C-level executives
  • Lead the development of long-term trusted relationships with new and existing clients at executive level, through careful planning, strategizing, and value creation
  • Leverage existing executive level relationships to increase Alektum’s brand awareness in the market

 

Requirements:

  • MBA/University Degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in German and Business Level English
  • 10+ years experience of driving and closing large deals (annual contract value > 1M EUR) with new clients, being personally accountable as the primary sales person
  • Proven track record in new logos sales with C-level buyers, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets
  • Leadership experience, leading, motivating and developing talent
  • Sales experience in debt collection/financial services preferred and outsourcing/consulting desired
  • Conducted sales methodology training programs, such as Consultative Selling, Target Account Sales
  • Ability to influence C-level clients
  • International experience / mindset
  • A strong network in the DACH region
